 Im 11. Jahr in Folge waren die Dörfer von El-Toud, östlich des Gouvernements Luxor in Ägypten und Ägypten-Touren , Gastgeber für die Aktivitäten der Deutsch-Ägyptischen Jugendwoche. Diese Veranstaltung, die von führenden Vertretern der sozialen Solidarität, dem Stadtrat von El-Toud, Tourismusverantwortlichen und der Jugendvereinigung für umfassende Entwicklung in El-Toud unterstützt wurde, hatte zum Ziel, den kulturellen Austausch zu fördern und die Verbindungen zwischen den beiden Ländern zu stärken.
