8th Session of Aswan International Women’s Film Festival

The eighth session of the Aswan International Festival showcased a diverse range of activities focusing on women's films. The festival featured an impressive selection of 76 films from 35 countries, all directed by women, that have various women's issues. Participating countries included Sweden, Kenya, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, and Japan, representing a broad geographical range spanning three continents. Making it an ideal destination for an Aswan day tour.

This festival aligns with Egypt's tour commitment to promoting its soft powers, encompassing various events that highlight the country's cultural and artistic contributions. Egypt Tour Packages and Egypt Day Tours have played an active role in covering these events over extended periods. Recognizing the significance of strengthening Egypt's soft powers, these tours have consistently documented and showcased a wide array of artistic and religious events, reinforcing the history of Egypt's influence globally.

The upcoming festival, scheduled from April 20 to 25, 2024, will showcase 76 films from different parts of the world. Our ministry is delighted to participate in the event with a series of developmental films for the Awareness for Community Development program. We are looking forward to presenting our contributions and adding value to the festival.

The festival highlighted the remarkable victories and impressive achievements of women while also showcasing their passion and unwavering ambition. Similarly, when exploring Egypt's attractions, such as Sharm El Sheikh Excursions or Hurghada Day Tours, visitors have the opportunity to witness the beauty and magnificence of the country's landscapes. During the eighth session of the Aswan Women's Film Festival, Tunisian star Hend Sabry was awarded for her work and her film "Four Daughters," also known as "Olfa's Daughter," was screened as part of the festival's events.
